We would expect you should carry out the final cut of the grass this month, it is still growing very slowly as the soil temperature is still reasonably high. A run over with the mower is a good way to clear the leaves and other debris.
The height of cut should be @ 40mm – cutting too short can encourage lawn moss to invade, and leaving the grass too grow long will encourage lawn disease and weaker grass over winter.
The leaves are now starting to fall – do not allow leaves to build up on the grass for long periods of time, this can cause poor areas of grass and encourage disease in the lawn.
If a frost occurs please try to not walk on the lawn while it is white with frost, it can bruise the grass and leave brown foot prints.
