Lawn Seeding

Professional Lawn Seeding Treatment

Whether you’re removing an old flower bed or patio or trying to patch damage left by lawn problems, lawn seeding is a great way to expand and repair your lawn. Growing fresh grass from seed is one of the most cost-effective ways to fill bare patches of soil, but it takes time and care, and it needs to be done at the right time of year.

What to expect from lawn seeding

Seeding is by far the cheapest way to replenish a lawn. Seed is much cheaper per square metre than established turf, and it takes a fraction of the time to sow a lawn than it does to turf it, which keeps the labour cost down.

You normally need to stay off a newly seeded lawn for a few months. Unlike turf, lawn seed needs to germinate and grow from scratch, which can take anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks.

Weeds love clean, nutrient-rich earth just as much as new grass seeds, so we normally book a feed & weed treatment a few months after the seeding.
